Your purchase at Help & Hope Mission Market helps homeless women and children in Macon County.
OUR HISTORY: The building that currently houses Help & Hope Mission Market has a long history of giving. 553 W. Wood St. was gifted to Decatur Memorial Hospital by Merrill and Margery "Sis" Lindsey in 1992. Since then, it had been known as the DMH Thrift Shop and was operated by the Decatur Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. As the Lindsey family had hoped, it was used to generate funds which positively impacted the community. In May of 2021, the Decatur Memorial Hospital Foundation made the decision to donate the building and its contents to God's Shelter of Love, extending the building's legacy of generating funds that help provide needed services to the community. Today, the proceeds from Help & Hope Mission Market make it possible for us to minister to homeless women and children in Decatur, Macon County and central Illinois.
DONATIONS: Help & Hope Mission Market relies on the donations of our supporters to operate our shelters.
If you would like a receipt for tax purposes, we can provide it when you drop off your donations.
