Your purchase at Blessingdales Thrift Shop helps homeless women and children in Macon County.
OUR HISTORY: In 1998 we were able to open a resale thrift shop in the old "Pop Dock" building which had been donated to us. While getting the building ready to open, a resident suggested that we call it Blessingdales, because it blessed so many people - those who came to shop as well as our shelter residents. The store moved to Central United Methodist Church on August 31, 2004, and the business grew quickly. In August of 2013, we were able to purchase our current facility, the former Rolling Prairie Library.
Today, the proceeds from Blessingdales make it possible for us to minister to homeless women and children in Decatur, Macon County and central Illinois.
